On the northern most point of Clearwater Beach is the 4th best natural beach in the world, Caladesi Island. The Island's State Park features three miles of nature trails and a 108-slip marina. The park is only accessible by ferry, private boat or at low tide by foot.
Originally opening to the public in 1984, Sand Key Park is 95 acres of two distinct areas. The park area features two picnic shelters with grills, a playground, a dog park and a restroom. The beach area has cabana rentals, two beach wheelchairs, nine outdoor shower towers and two bath houses. A lifeguard is on duty year-round from 9:30am-4:30pm.
